The Tomas family jump-started the domestic water system business here in the Philippines during the American liberation, as they started trading secondhand domestic water pumps, tanks, and accessories from American bases under the Colossal Merchandising Center along T. Alonzo Street Sta. Cruz, Manila during liberations.

 

Over time, Colossal went into selling and distribution of brand new domestic water pumps, and in 1969, pioneered the local manufacturing of pressure tanks under the brand, TOMSTEEL.

The family also initiated the importation and distribution of Italian Water Pumps in the Philippines for the domestic market at a time when it was being dominated by US brands in the early 1980s. 

 

The Tomas family in general brought in the following Italian pump brands: Saer, Pedrollo, Nocchi, Pentax, and Foras. Nocchi pump was eventually bought by Pentair, and changed its brand to

Sta-rite. 

 

In the year 2000, SuperTank International Company was established mainly to produce Stainless Steel Water Storage Tanks under the brand SuperTank. 

 

With five decades of serving the nation in our own humble ways, we hope to continue to evolve and introduce new products into the market for the benefit of the Filipinos.
